What’s the Plan, Stan?!

dicisions 2

Well, 2016 has arrived.  There are new hopes and dreams, possibilities, plans to make, and things to change.  Looking back on the past year, did you accomplish all you wanted to?  Did you realize at least some of the hopes and dreams you had a year ago?

Maybe you find yourself in almost the exact same place you were in January 2015 and are disappointed in what last year brought.  Was it your fault?  Was it “just circumstances?”  Was it because of your poor choices or were you blindsided?  Do you find that you are happier overall than you were at the beginning of 2015 or discouraged, depressed and wishing you knew HOW to take the necessary steps to move forward toward a brighter year?

Tuesday, January 12, my guest on Chained No More Talk Radio is Anne Denmark, a amazingly gifted professional life coach, who will walk us through how to determine our goals and the steps we need to take to accomplish them.  Doesn’t that sound great?!  You will be impressed with her wisdom, but you will also be encouraged and inspired by the strong woman of God she is.  Tune in LIVE Tuesday, at 2pm ET at www.toginet.com.  You can also download the podcast beginning later that day at www.toginet.com/shows/chainednomore.  DON’T MISS IT!  This could be life-changing for  years ahead!

“In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.”  Prov. 16:9

“Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”  Prov. 19:20

Many of us are planners and make tons of lists so we can accomplish what we have laid out.  Many of us, however, just “wait and see what happens”, procrastinate on the things we want to do and then wonder why we don’t get anything done.  These are the ones who find themselves in the same spot year after year.  Maybe you don’t know how to plan or even can imagine how to proceed.  Try this:

Step 1 – Make a list of things you would like to accomplish in the next, let’s say, 3 months.  Be realistic with your goals.

Step 2 – Under each item, take some time to think and write out  what it would take to accomplish them.  One by one.

Step 3 – Ask the Lord to guide you and to help you keep on track.  Refuse the enemy’s attempts at distracting you.

Step 4 – Focus on one goal and put all of your energy and thoughts into it, minute by minute, hour by hour, and day by day.  Come on! You can do this, in the name of Jesus!.

I wish you a wonderfully joyful new year; a year that you accomplish some, if not all of your goals and can give God the glory a year from today.  Let’s go!!!
