Have you ever questioned yourself about a decision you made and realized that it wasn’t the best idea? Now, have you ever questioned yourself and found out that it was the perfect decision for you?
Maybe you didn’t know if you should apply for a certain job. Maybe you didn’t know if you should actually pursue a romantic relationship or join a certain group. We are faced with decisions every single day that can impact our lives for the good or for the not so good.
The other night, there was a young mom with three children who needed a safe shelter for the night and my husband and I needed to make a decision to have them come to our home or not. As we contemplated for those few minutes, there just didn’t seem to be a good reason NOT to have them come and spend the night. We had the room, clean towels, groceries and loving arms.
Sometimes, you just know when it is right and you realize the Lord is asking something of you that you need to “trust and obey” Him about. This was one of those times. It took listening to His leading, blind faith in that leading and then putting feet to that leading.
Taking chances can look like obeying God’s call. Listen for His call and don’t just push it aside because it might be a little inconvenient. It will be worth it in the end as He blesses you abundantly. Take a chance!
