Do you ever feel your life is like a maze? You make one turn and you reach a deadend and have to backtrack for the hundredth time? wonder if you will ever make any headway?
There are so many decisions to be made every day from the time we graduate from high school. There are decisions about college vs. career, where to live, who to marry, having kids, our faith, and all the decisions having to do with purchases large and small. Wow!
Sometimes this maze in life can make us just sit down and become frozen when time after time, we fail at making the right decisions and then pay the price for them. That marriage didn’t work out. That job was the wrong fit. That diet didn’t work. Turn to the left. Stop. Turn to the right. Stop. Turn around. Stop. Help!
The very best thing we can do is to stop, sit down, look up and take time to seek God and His guidance. So many times we get in such a hurry to move forward, that we don’t even pause to pray, right? He is waiting with answers and guidance from His Holy Spirit. It is like He has the plan and the map to get out of the maze of life, if we just reach out for it.
“I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future.” Jeremiah 29:11
“Show me Your ways, O Lord, teach me Your paths; guide me in Your truth and teach me for You are God my Savor, and my hope is in You all day long.” Psalm 25:4,5
Tomorrow, March 22, Diana Janz, Hope Ranch Ministries, will be discussing human trafficking in America on Chained No More Talk Radio at 2pm ET on www.toginet.com. She will be talking about the maze of life for these exploited girls and guys whose lives are full of traumatic twists and turns. She will be discussing the whos, whys and whats of human trafficking, and sharing what her ministry is doing to rescue these shattered kids. We all need to become more informed about this area of trauma in our communities today. We will be surprised by what we hear and hopefully be challenged.
So, do you feel like your life is like a maze? Want to find the way out? Sit down, take a time out, look up, and ask the Lord God to guide you out; then sit and listen to what He brings to your mind. Take one step at a time and don’t run ahead of Him, but use His Word as your map. Keep going!
