Have you ever wondered how you are going to survive an event or a period of time in your life? “How am I EVER going to survive have teenagers?!” “I don’t think I will make it through this semester.” “How are we going to survive this divorce? I am scared!”
It seems that life’s challenges can be so overwhelming at times, that we doubt our abilities, tenacity, strength to work through it, and survive to tell about it.
SURVIVE: a) to remain alive after the death of someone, the cessation of something, or the occurrence of some event; continue to live. b) to get along or remain healthy, happy and unaffected in spite of some occurrence: She’s surviving after the divorce.
If only there was a “survival guide” that would lead us through the years when our kids are teenagers! Lesson 101: How to Communicate with Unknown Beings Lesson 102: How to Affectively Get a Teenage Up in the Morning Lesson 103: Help! My Teen Has Raging Hormones! Oh, to have a handbook….
There are other survival guides that would be helpful.
- How to Have a Close Knit Family
- How to Forgive the Unforgiveable
- How to Have a Healthy Confrontation
- How to Heal From My Past
- How to Survive Divorce Without Destroying the Kids

Here is an encouraging word from the best Survival Guide of all; God’s Word, the Bible…”Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”
“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith….” Hebrews 12:2
If you are struggling with your faith, your past, guilt, shame, etc., please look into “Chained No More…A Journey of Healing for Adult Children of Divorce/Childhood Brokenness” on this website. Hope and healing is waiting for you!
My newly released devotional book, “Visions of Him…Seeing God In Everyday Things”, will begin to focus your eyes upward in 45 two-page devos. You can purchase this “survival guide” on the Robyn B Ministries website, as well.
You WILL survive, believe me, if you keep your eyes upward and seek Him.
